Labor Day Event at Farmer's Market
This past Labor Day we had a community of events and was a much-needed experience! I was able to bring out the art bus for an actual event. I have not been able to do this since COVID began. Chef Ernie from Café Nola invited me to park the art bus for some crafting and painting. He was throwing a Block Party outside his restaurant, Café Nola, 2 pm until the fireworks started down the street at the lakeyard! I was nestled in the bus setting up painting stations for my guests, trying out my new “Graffiti Arm Tattoo” airbrushing, and providing some simple crafts. Outside we had New Orleans style music, crawfish, drinks, and socializing! The parade started at 3 pm and Shane Owens was at the lake yard playing music. The grand finale was the firework show at 8 pm! I was sitting in my backyard with my hubby our little monster Hayden, our furbabies, munching on some fresh off the grill burgers! It was a great way to celebrate the day with art, community, and family!
Can’t wait to set up every Saturday in September at the Farmers Market on the art bus for some Face Mask Decorating! Mainstreet is donating masks and Uniquely Clever is setting up tye-dye stations! Every mask decorated, I am donating a $1 back to Mainstreet! Once again, our small little town is finding ways as a community to work together and bring our small businesses back to life!
